Marquez helmet decoration: Motegi 2014 and his Samurai

It has become a sort of tradition for Marc Marquez: the Motegi Grand Prix in Japan, the Spaniard likes to celebrate by wearing a version of his Shoei X-Spirit II helmet specially decorated for the occasion. To discover here!

Inevitably adorned with the stylized ant that characterizes all Marc Marquez helmets, the 2014 version of the Marquez Motegi decor adopts a samurai, a significant symbol of Japanese culture recently mentioned on the blog, and witness to the Pilot’s warlike ambitions. We also find the red disc which occupies the center of the Japanese national flag.

We do not yet know if the X-Spirit 2 Motegi 2014 will one day be offered in the Shoei catalog. In the meantime, you can always set your sights on the 2013 version !
Did this decoration bring luck to Marc Marquez? Still, with her, the number 93 renewed his title of MotoGP World Champion … Congratulations to him. And time for the photos!

At the end of the race which saw Marc Marquez crowned, Shoei even gave him a gold edition of X-Spirit 2 to celebrate his newly won title. A way of thanking MM93 for his great performance, which makes him the youngest driver to accumulate two titles in the premier category since the competition existed...
